Want to lead a Community Group?

  Whether you're interested in leading a study, starting a recreation group to get to know people through an activity, have a particular passion for a ministry of support, or want to go long term and build a life group - we need you!  Let us know what you're thinking about and we'll contact you to discuss what it looks like and how to move forward.

Young Adult Game Group
Rebekah Honaker and Gabe Puckett are hosting a social group for young adults.  This group will gather to play games and build community.
When: Every Other Sunday
Time: 2:30p - 4:30p

Miracles of Jesus: Then and Now
Come join us as we explore the miracles of Jesus described in the Gospel of John. We will meet the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month.  Start date to be announced later.   We will use the book “The Grave Robber” by Mark Batterson to help guide our discussions. Reading the book is optional. Study guides will be provided and we will watch a short video during each session.  Come learn about the miracles of Jesus then and now. This adult study will be led by Paula Farmer and all are welcome.

Games & Fun
Isaac and Mary-Beth Back are hosting a group to build community by playing games, having fun, and fellowship. Snacks are welcome but not necessary.

You and Me Forever
This seven-session Bible study series, based on the book You and Me Forever from best-selling author Francis Chan and Lisa Chan, will challenge you to view your marriage like never before. These seven inspiring videos will help you dive deeper into the book's content, and discover more about God's purposes for marriage and how marriage brings Him glory. Open to married couples from any COF campus. Group is limited to six couples, but will be repeated as needed. Please purchase the book, available on Amazon. Read the introduction and first chapter prior to Sept. 3, 2023, we'll watch the videos together. DivorceCare
This group will be hosted by Shane Koogler and Marsha Macy. The desire for each person attending is that they will gain hope and healing, and learn how God can be instrumental in helping them through this process. DivorceCare consists of video seminars, group discussions and personal exercises. This 13 week class is for individuals in separation, newly divorced, or suffering from long term effects of divorce.

Jesus and Women - Table Groups
CarrieAnn Helvey, Brandi French, and Katrina Tyler are hosting this group and together we will be walking through a 7-week study called Jesus and Women by Kristi McLelland. Starting on Sept 12th, this group will meet every Tuesday from 630p-730p at the Eaton house (233 North Barron Street). We will have time as a large group for fellowship and community before breaking off into our table groups for further discussion and growth.

Follow Up and Fellowship
This group is led by Steve and Hope Moore. Couples or singles are welcome to join them at 7pm on the second Tuesday of the month.  This group meets at Steve and Beth Werts' home ( 414 Division Street, Eaton) to follow up on the sermon and enjoy fellowship and snacks with others in the church.

Strong Marriage = Strong Family 
Ashley and Lee Markley will be leading this group for families to come together to relax, study & fellowship. Children are welcome. This group will meet every other Friday at 7pm at the Markley's home (5135 Lee Rd. New Paris, Ohio).
They will host in the woods when weather is fit, and in their home when it is not.
Food, Fun and Fellowship
This group is hosted by Ella and Ashley Deaton. They will meet on the Last Friday of every month at 6:30PM.  Everyone is welcome. Their desire is to grow relationships around a table while enjoying a meal together. This group will meet at their home, 624 Jordan Rd. West Alexandria, Ohio. 45381
Eaton: Women's Bible Study
This group is led by Jan Petersen and meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 10 am at COF's Eaton House, 233 North Barron St.  During this time, the ladies will be studying the life of Christ.
Just bring your Bible and a pen!
Homeschool Field Trip Group 
Kaylee Lebo and Jessica Carranza  are hosting a Homeschool Field Trip Group on the fourth Friday of the month. Even though this is primarily a social group many of the activities will be educational in nature. Meeting times will vary depending on the field trip. We are excited to gather as a Homeschool Community. After signing up here you will receive a link from us to an App that will give more information for each of our events.
Prayer Shawl Group
Paula Farmer will be starting a group to make prayer shawls to give to people suffering with illness and other hardships.  They will meet the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at 6:30 at the Methodist church (120 N. Maple St. Eaton).  Paula will teach you how to crochet and they will pray over each shawl.   It is a time of fellowship while creating something that will bless others.
Ladies' Lunch
These ladies gather once a month at various restaurants in the area for food and fellowship.  They meet at 11am on the third Wednesday of each month.
Grief Share
Are you interested in a 13-week video-based grief support group? This group is designed for anyone grieving the death of a friend or loved one regardless of where you are in the grief process. It doesn’t matter whether you’ve entered this journey recently or a while ago we want to walk with you through it. Sign up here for our current community group cycle: September 13 - December 6.
