Your Wedding cost sheet

There are times when our fees vary due to extra elements requested in a ceremony. If cost adjustments need to be made, you will be informed of those adjustments prior to payment.  Reasons for increased fees include: Extensive travel (anything more than 25 miles outside of Lewisburg, Eaton, or Arcanum) or special requirements needed from our sound technicians when the wedding is offsite, etc.  In cases where the Pastor needs to travel and stay overnight for your ceremony, all travel expenses are generally taken care of by the bride & groom.
Building Rental: Community of Faith attendees are welcome to use a COF facility if its available upon request. For Community of Faith attendees there is no rental fee; however, there is a $50 cleaning fee for our crews to restore the facility for any upcoming worship experience.

Pastor fee: Our fee for the Pastor is a suggested amount of $200. If you are unable to afford the amount, adjustments will be made. If you would like to go above and beyond the suggested amount, you can feel free to do so.

Sound/Media fee: We have qualified sound technicians to make sure your ceremony runs as smoothly as possible. The amount we charge for our sound technicians is $150 (which includes rehearsal and ceremony). If your wedding is small and does not require a rehearsal, but a sound technician is still needed because you wish to play music and use microphones, the fee is $100.

OTHER FEES TO CONSIDER

The pastors of COF require that engaged couples complete our premarital classes (SYMBIS) prior to their ceremony. You can sign up for these classes online, but make sure you sign up as soon as you have a COF pastor established to ensure you have the course completed prior to your ceremony date. You will be able to see the cost of the classes when you sign up.

Marriage License – It is suggested that you go to the courthouse and get your marriage license approx. 4 weeks before your wedding date. A marriage license expires in 60 days. You will need to take along your birth certificate, know your social security number, at least one of you (bride or groom) has to be a resident of the county in which you are applying for a marriage license. As of 2021, the cost is $70 for your marriage license and they may only accept cash. Call the probate court of your county and set up an appointment, if needed. (If you live in 2 different counties, you can go to the probate court of either county as long as one of you resides in that county.) They will give you the details of what all you need to bring including birth certificate, etc. Bring your marriage license to the pastor on your wedding day for him to sign and he will take the marriage certification portion. He will give you back the actual marriage license and he will mail off the certificate to the probate court to be filed.
It’s best to take care of all fees at your meeting with the pastor 2 weeks prior to your wedding ceremony. Prior to that meeting, you will be informed of any extra fees depending on how extensive your wedding is and what is required of the sound technician and pastor. Generally, there are no extra fees.
