Growing in groups

Discipleship groups are essential because spiritual growth happens best in community. In smaller groups, believers can encourage one another, practice accountability, ask honest questions, and live out their faith together. Discipleship groups create the space where people don’t just attend church—they grow together, becoming more like Christ alongside one another.
This verse in scripture gives us the foundation of gathering and growing together.

They DEVOTED themselves to the APOSTLES TEACHING and FELLOWSHIP, to the BREAKING OF BREAD and to PRAYER” Acts 2:42

Discipleship is the lifelong process of following Jesus, becoming more like Him, and helping others do the same.

In Acts 2:42, the early church modeled discipleship by devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. This shows that discipleship is not just about gaining knowledge—it’s about growing in faith through learning God’s Word, building authentic relationships, worshiping together, and depending on God in prayer.
We have two different formats for groups.  Check out the differences between Community Groups and Discipleship Groups.
