The first-ever Preble County Youth Leadership Conference will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Eaton Youth Center, 306 Seven Mile Drive.
This one-day event for students who are currently leading within their school and community is being hosted by Community of Faith Churches in alliance with other student-aimed organizations, including the Preble County Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Preble County. The goal is to encourage and equip students in avenues in which they are already leading and prepare them for future opportunities in leadership.
Students in grades 11 and 12 are invited to participated. The program is free of charge and lunch will be provided.

Students will hear from community leaders as they speak on topics like character, self-leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship. Participants will learn more about what type of leader they are through personality testing and team-building activities. To end the day, they will apply their leadership skills as they tackle current county issues and present suggestions to area leaders. Register students online at www.cofchurches.com/ylc. Registration will be open until Thursday, Sept. 6.
